Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum 8+ years of proven record of Embedded Firmware Development
Multi-tasking, Real Time operating systems (e.g., Linux; VxWorks)
Code development in a real time, multi-threaded environment
Development of device drivers
Defensive programming & debugging methodologies
TCP/IP & Serial Communications, other drivers & protocols.
Understanding & exposure to Industrial Communication
Protocols like IEC 61850, DNP 3.0, MODBUS, IEC 60870-5 etc.
Strong analytic & problem solving skills for root cause determination & fixing issues.
Ability to work closely across departments for diagnosing complex problems.
Flexible towards changes in priorities, sense of urgency & focus on results.
Ability to work independently, self-driven

IP networking & networking protocols
Candidate must have in-depth understanding of regulatory needs like CE/UL, IEC, IEEE needs for High power industry
Experience in fault location, fault recording &/or power quality is desirable
Embedded advance substation measurement system firmware development
Developing advance firmware solutions for critical substation monitoring & diagnosis requirements.
Candidate should have background of electrical distribution equipment needs & know how.
Should have good analytical & logical skills
Project execution & leadership experience working across organizations including customers.
Should have ownership of products/projects. Should be responsible for architecture & designing of products
Coordinated firmware development activity & monitors quality & schedule
Supports Mentor development team & provides needed pre-qualification & verification testing.
Ensure compliance to all regulatory needs for the product & business
Support product transition to mass manufacturing
Supports sales & support team post release to timely meet customer needs
