Job Description

Qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum experience in industry for 6-8 years with 2-4 years of experience in managing/leading a team
Strong academic background
Highly developed communication skills and experience of operating in an international environment, preferably from working for an international company.
Self-motivated with a mature attitude. Able to work independently in a professional manner and maintain high standards of integrity.
Ability to question and challenge the existing processes, with a view to creating reporting efficiencies and improvements.
International outlook. Able to cope with working with staff in different offices worldwide.
Drive and determination to obtain understanding of complex, business-driven transactions and report these accurately according to the appropriate accounting standards.
Advanced Excel skills and a willingness to use technology to complete/ improve daily tasks.
Team player with an enthusiastic approach to fresh challenges.
Strong communication skills. Comfortable to liaise with non-accounting staff at all levels on a routine basis.
Experience in managing/supporting process & technology change in the department/organization
Month end book close
Review and provide month end summary of accruals, prepayment and other key balance sheet accounts.
Review of P&L, Trial balance & various disclosure under IFRS
Review of accounting of derivatives
Providing various variance analysis & commentaries for management.
Review of month end schedules including key controls like debtors, creditors, loans, intercompany positions etc.
Resolving accounting queries with various departments including deal desks, operation and other upstream / downstream departments.
Interacting with auditors and resolution of audit queries
Providing requested details to various departments like tax, finance etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong accounting background (including derivatives and hedge accounting)
Well versed with IFRS and multi GAAP scenarios
Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Attention to details including high volume data analysis with lowest level details.
Able to cope in a highly pressured and demanding environment and handle multiple deliverables.
Excel skills
Ability to contribute & influence a large change transformational environment.
Accounting colleagues in international locations including Geneva, Amsterdam etc.
Deal Desk, Logistics Operations, Derivatives back office desk
FX and Treasury team
Various upstream / downstream departments
