The Employee Relations Manager (India) works closely with Heads of HR, the HR Business Partners (HRBP s) and Legal to deal with Employee Relations (ER) related issues for India, directly managing specific cases as agreed with Head of HR Chennai proactive case management, contractual terms and conditions, performance management, policy development, investigations, grievances, disciplinary issues, restructuring, redundancy, employment litigation preparations) across India.
Responsible for resolving and in specific cases managing end to end complex employee relations cases (e. g. redundancies, grievances, disciplinary, etc. )
The incumbent is required to: Manage all employee relations issues end to end, including complex performance issues, complex behavior issues, disciplinary actions etc. Use appropriate investigation techniques, good judgment and balanced consideration of all available facts, information & policies to identify & recommend probable options
Provide final resolution to all employee relations issues either independently or in consultation with other HR areas like Legal, HR Governance & Internal controls, HR Business Partner team & HR Head Prepare case papers & other necessary documentation for each ER case
Maintain and publish regular reports on potential or identified ER Cases with trend analysis and possible corrective actions (if any) (India) Work closely with HRBPs and Group HR Legal to develop products, policies and processes and regularly up-skill / update line managers to effectively deal with ER related matters
Streamline processes for managing ER administration; in particular ensure standard processes and documentation are published and used, subject to local employment practices and legal requirements
Work with HR team & other departments like Security, BCP, Legal, Finance, Medical to proactively identify potential issues or trends and provide options / solutions to effectively mitigate risks
