Job Description

Total Experience : 15 to 25 years Role : Director/ Sr Director Work Location : Bangalore Domain : Travel /Airlines Define user requirements for development of new or improvement of existing software solutions. Oversee the design of technical solutions and perform feasibility studies for Software as a Service Airport Operations products as well as locally deployed solutions in large and small airports. Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation. Manage software development according to Company Standards and using agile methodologies. Conduct unit, package and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the Company guidelines. Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product. Oversee the production of software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments. Support the end user in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR) issued from Product Management or Product Definition. Assist, guide and motivate team members in Airport IT Bangalore that perform engineering functions in support of product development. Define objective for direct reports and guide global line managers for the same. Represent Airport IT activities and procedures related to Company requirements. Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding organization information. Report on team activities. Conduct annual appraisal interviews. Provide input for salary reviews. Interview and participate in selecting candidates for teams. Management of budget and financial planning for area of responsibility. Provide leadership and direction to multiple unit managers in Bangalore, team leaders and professionals from technical/functional/business support or operation staff. Require communication skills to influence both internally and externally Senior Leadership experience at global scale Strong technical/functional/business/ commercial awareness Managerial and functional responsibility for 15 staff in Singapore and 30 in Bangalore; plus managerial and leadership responsibility for 40 engineering support staff in Bangalore.
