Proactively work with the team to ensure financial reporting needs are met; analyze and present timely, accurate financial reports; communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
Oversee all financial and project/program accounting; collate financial reporting materials for all donors/funders as necessary.
Lead the annual audit process, involving internal and the external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
Lead the annual budgeting and business planning process with the Country Director; monitor performance and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organizations financial status.
Manage cash flow and forecasting to support operational requirements. Ensure adherence to billing and collection schedules.
Improve financial policies and accounting practices; maintain an up-to-date finance manual; foster adherence to SOPs.
Effectively communicate critical financial matters to the board of directors.
Ensure that all statutory compliances are followed in a timely manner and the organization continues to be legally compliant.
Ensure good knowledge and awareness of local laws are maintained in the organization, and monitor relevant changes/revisions thereof.
Supply Chain Management
Support the Head of Supply Chain in effectively managing procurement, warehouse operations, and the production lab.
Forecast inventory, equipment, and lab capacity requirements, managing the warehouse and labs ability to accommodate and manage fluctuations according to business demands, yet maintain a lean material count
Oversee procurement-led value creation. Ensure spend and contract visibility, due diligence compliance, and savings achievement.
Monitor timelines of order fulfillment to meet customer requirements. Ensure quality and control costs.
Oversee routine inventory cycle counts. Ensure stringent warehouse record-keeping in line with financial best practices.
Improve warehouse and lab policies and procedures; maintain an up-to-date warehouse manual; and ensure SOP compliance.
Liaise with the SAP vendor as needed and monitor the implementation of new accounting and warehousing system.
Oversee the IT team to manage routine IT support and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with the US-based Director of Technology in support of the IT needs of the India operation.

10 years of overall professional experience; with at least 5 years of managerial experience.
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication are essential to this role.
Prior responsibility for the quality and content of all finance functions including audit execution, budget preparation, and investor reporting.
Experience with consolidating multiple sets of books across multiple businesses and legal entities.
Exposure to/experience with supervising warehousing operations and supply chain logistics.
The candidate must be technology savvy. Prior experience with SAP a plus.
Prior experience in a high-growth environment.
Track record of managing statutory compliance, reporting, negotiation of contracts and agreements with financial institutions, vendors, etc.
Knowledge of Indian business and taxation laws with respect to different legal entities. Knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Act and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) a plus.
The ability to communicate effectively and clearly with counterparts in India and the United States.
