As a Development Manager you will be responsible for a team’s delivery of high quality innovative solutions built on SaaS Architecture for our customers. You must have a proven technical background and ability to effectively manage a team of technically high qualified and charged engineers. You must ensure that the team is able to work efficiently with solid designs and clear short and long term goals, mitigating any impediments in the process. From initial project scope to full SaaS architectured life cycle development, you must assure successful delivery and operation of our solutions.

Manage the day-to-day development rigor of multiple projects by documenting requirements, analyzing, scoping, planning, engineering, implementing, testing, and communicating.
Run daily scrums to assess and determine obstacles and risks in the current schedule and resolve them.
Work with Product Owners to plan and prioritize software deliveries, assembling sprint, release, and overall product roadmap plans.
Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimal performance and recognize and promote excellent performers.
Ability to write and review code as needed, and provide technical direction to the group in all phases of development.
Understanding of technical architectures, capacity plans, tool requirements, automation plans, product launch plans, and other deliverables.
Nurture a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, creative problem solving, and innovation within the team.
10+ years of total software engineering experience with a thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle for commercial SaaS software product development.
4+ years of engineering manager experience in relevant technology teams out of which 3+ years of experience in a SaaS software engineering leadership position managing a team of 5+ or 3+ years of leadership experience in managing a team of 5+ working on cloud-based applications.
Well versed in Scrum principles and practices.
Strong requirements analysis and solution design abilities.
Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional and distributed teams.
Experience with hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career planning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be customer oriented and skilled in developing a strong understanding of customer needs and marrying those with optimal technology solutions.
Experience writing automated unit tests for front-end and back-end system components, functional tests, and integration tests.
Good understanding of micro services architecture and its challenges.
Strong leadership competencies including the ability to think and act strategically, drive for results, build a high performance culture and inspire/teach others to perform at higher levels.
Working knowledge of Spring
Experience in using selenium for automated testing
Experience developing asynchronous distributed applications
Experience with AWS
Experience or interest in data science and machine learning algorithms
