Job Description

1. Letter of Credit/ Bank Guarantees -Supervise and manage the person responsible for opening LC/ BG or its amendment , Verify documents against the details available in SAP , Review outstanding LC/BG limits with various banks and shortlist prospective banks with minimal bank charges with the bank and submit for approval , Ensure setting up of LC/ BG as per the timelines in SOP, Review terms and conditions and charges on the LC/BG documents received from banks and resolve discrepancy with the bank, if any
2. Bill Discounting -Manage domestic and export bills discounting including negotiation and collection of documents with banks identified , Monitoring of receipt FIRC and BRC , Follow-up with Banks and Marketing division for acceptance of documents
3. Buyers Credit/ Suppliers Credit/Packing Credit/Post-shipment Credit - Obtain quotes from bank and prepare comparative cost sheet, Prepare documentation for availing the facility , Update MIS on availed and create deal in treasury module , Pass entries in SAP for facility availed , Prepare documentation for payment of interest/ principle after verifying banks computation and remit payment , Month/ Quarter end entries for exchange loss/ gain in SAP, Month end entries for accrued interest in SAP,Keeping track of daily MIS on FX (MTM) and monthly FX MIS
4. Ensure proper and timely TDS is deducted and deposited with the Government treasury on Treasury payment and the information is shared with the Tax Department , Coordinate with the consultants for filing of the monthly/ quarterly TDS returns with the Income tax authorities,3. Ensure that the correct entries are passed in SAP for capturing service tax paid on the Treasury payments and share the information on timely basis with Tax Department for claiming CENVAT credit
5. Manage and supervise the resource doing A1 payments (foreign exchange payments) are made on time, as per SLA, after verification of all supporting documents and approvals accorded as per delegation of financial powers of the Company , Recording of transactions effected in SAP as per the defined book closing SOP.
6. Stock Statements , FFR1 & FFR2 & CMA Data and preparation of banks proposals for setting up trade facilities , Banking relationship and facility set up
7. Financial Projections and business modelling , dealing with rating agencies
8. Short Term Loans , Documentation , legal framework , RBI , through Knowledge of UCP -600

1. 8-12 years expereince in Trade Finance and expert knowledge of UCP 600 , RBI Master Circular for Trade , RBI circulars on BGs
2. Assessment , setting up and management of working capital limits ,
3. Banking Relationship and dealing with trade desks of the banks
4. Good working Knowledge of SAP , knowledge of shared services would be an added advantage
5. Indian Accounting Standards and Guidance Notes of ICAI
6. Understanding of Froeign Exchange , Hedges and Dervatives , commodities trade and Fx & Commodities related transactions

Target for 1 Year
1. Discrepant Free issue of and servicng of Bank Guarantee & Letter of Credits
2. Nil Outstanding Bills of Entries for Imports
3. Recording of Trade related banking transaction in SAP on Daily basis and daily closure of books of treasury documentation books
4. Interest cost optimisation
5. Timely submisison of all the data to Bank , RBI , Tax data for compliance and returns others etc.
6. All Indian Overseas Banks Relationship for Trade Finance
7. Six Plant Visits alongwith Bankers
8. Treasury Module Administration - Periodic review of access rights and configuration, Periodic review of system performance , Analysis of gaps and identification of corrective measure ,Ensuring MIS reports generated from the module are accurate
9. Training to staff on delivery, behavior and adherence to Company values
