Job Description

Client management: Hold the ownership for operational delivery in an efficient and timely manner.Build and maintain relationships with clients, acquire projects proactively and contribute towards new client acquisition Project Management: Efficient management and successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and that practical / business driven approach is adopted Ensuring that projects are completed efficiently within the budgeted time and cost Actively work with cross-functional teams to provide holistic tax solutions to clients Business Development: Play a pivotal role in expansion of the tax practice in new markets Generate and manage possible leads from other areas of the practice Build networks and relationships internally and externally for the team to leverage from People Management: Play a key role in people development through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff Contribute to people initiatives, including retaining and training team members Execution of assignments involving- Consultation on inbound and outbound investments Permanent Establishment issues Withholding tax advisory Reviewing key corporate tax returns and vetting of tax positions Overseeing litigation matters and attending to notices from the Tax Department Tax Planning and Compliances Desired Candidate Profile: To be tailor-fit for the above skillsets, the incumbent would need to have, A strong passion and interest for tax Strong international and Indian tax technical skills Client driven approach - Strong client relationship management skills with ability to develop quality outputs to clients Business development skills to be able to identify and convert opportunities Strong business acumen with ability to manage engagement financial results Excellent communication skills - both written and oral An enthusiastic approach and be a team player with the ability to create, sustain and lead effective teams The trait of being change orientated and innovative with flexible approach for working and adoption of new technologies Effective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines Experience in/exposure to FEMA (added advantage) Candidates from Big4 and mid sized CA firm would be preferred.
