Job Description

Handling efficient control & planning of budget, developing policies on maintenance & safe operation of ships in International trade for entire group.
Involved in budget planning for each ship under individual Managers.
Liaising with different shipyards and vendors across the world to plan and execute dry docking of different type of ships; carrying out negotiation.
Planning and modifying design aspects based on different cases of troubles and accident cases on board ships.
Involved in decision making on new building, sell and purchase of ships and scrapping.
Manage the team of Superintendent who are In-charge of managing fleet of ships in International trade.
Supervising daily operational activities and scheduling preventive maintenance for all assigned vessels.
Ensuring all clients are provided prompt, efficient and accurate service as per international standards to achieve highest level of client satisfaction; promptly resolving clients concerns leading to better relations / hospitality.
Preparing & managing operating and capital budgets for assigned vessels; controlling & reviewing all operating and capital
Expenditures related to assigned vessels and reporting regularly on variances.
Monitoring vessel condition through regular on board inspections and monitoring major refit & repairs; crewing vessels with personnel of highest caliber hired within the allotted budgets.
Assisting with investigating any accidents or incidents and preparing reports in conjunction with the Senior Superintendent and QHSE Manager; actively promoting safety awareness among all company personnel.
