Job Title : BD Manager
Reports to : Head Sales
Division : Corporate
Experience : 8 -  10 yrs in handling sales and BD for key accounts and channels.

Technical Service Sales

The role incumbent will be responsible for Business Development & Sales activities for his key accounts/segments. Develop and operationalize the customer related Strategy and Plan in conjunction with the sales head based in the annual business plan. To assess the customer requirements and maximise the revenue in each assigned account. Continuously identify and develop new accounts. To act as a single window of interface for sales and support with the customers to attain customer delight. There would be a field service engineer reporting to him.

TASKS / MAJOR ACTIVITIES

1.Business Development and sales
Design and operationalize the Business development plan, Budget and Strategy aligned with the organizational objectives, in conjunction with the sales head.
Plan for business growth, by proactively assessing the customer requirements aligned with their future growth plan.
Actively identify new business opportunities and customer needs.
Drive and review new initiatives to enhance revenues from existing and new products/ services, increase margins and display high focus in identifying new customers.
Should have experience in selling technical solutions/services to SME and Large Enterprise customers.
Initiate marketing campaigns and drive them as a tool for business development
2. Relationship Management
Actively engage with the customer to understand their requirements and future growth plans
Engage with the customers and coordinate internally to resolve all the escalated operational issues on regular basis.
Drive customer buying behaviour and decision making criteria and develop a relationship with key accounts to influence the decision makers.
Ability to influence the key decision makers focus by demonstrating sound product solution knowledge centred on providing value to the customer.
3. Collections

Responsible for collections to ensure on time revenue collection with minimal ageing and bad debts
Provide collection forecasts
Ensure availability of all tax related compliance documents
4. Supervision
Support the field service engineer assigned for the territory and ensure that the person is able to perform without obstacles.
Ensure that the engineer is able to schedule his calls properly and delight the customer
The engineer has been properly trained to perform with excellence
5. Distribution management
Set up channels for distribution and monitor their performance as and when required
Ensure proper pricing and territory allocation for the channel partners
Support the partners fully to empower them to succeed

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of energy management systems and services concepts

EXPERIENCE
8 - 10 yrs experience in handling sales and business development for key accounts and channels.
