Job Description

Business Development Manager – Modern Trade (Food)
o Business Growth in Modern Trade
o Increase of Co’s Share in Modern Trade
o Building, opening and retention of Modern Trade Accounts
o To execute marketing & display initiatives for various Co’s brands in Modern Trade
o Establishing the distributor network for high serviceability/availability in Modern Trade wherever necessary
o Establishing sales targets brand wise pack wise as per ABP, help them in breaking the same geographically, monthly & weekly
o To establish coverage, distribution and display objectives in Modern Trade which should be in line with the Annual Business Plan (ABP)
o Analyze Stock Movement/availability based on the secondary sales in Modern Trade to have complete control on inventory at various Modern Trade Stores. Zero Stock outs at any point of time
o Dynamic sales forecasting for stock requirement/availability and coordinate with Logistics for the same
o Conduct review meetings on weekly/monthly basis for efficient working and track account regularly up-dates on all market developments and opportunities in Modern Trade
o Regularly have financial review with Accounts for healthy top and bottom line and it should remain be in line with approved budgets

Qualification And Experience:
1. MBA Degree & Exp of 7-10 Years in a Sales and Modern Trade Chain Management and understanding of the operating business environment. Ideal Applicant should be with experience in a similar role. Preferred Industry background from FMCG Industry - Food
2. Should have strong experience in Modern Trade
3. Experience in Managing a territory Experience of Trade Initiatives to include promotions, new products and pricing Negotiation and customer management skills
4. Ability to Drive Continuous Improvement Ability to Interpret customer, competitor and channel sales data and ability to extract insight
