Main Objectives & Purposes: Direct contribution to operational permanent control framework Responsible for the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures Responsible for ensuring team members comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines Responsible for reporting all incidents to the IMS team Responsible for ensuring job description are written, distributed and updated. Participate in projects in relation to Banking Operations Act, behave appropriately and comply with the general ethical standards expected by the Bank and relevant Regulatory Authorities, particularly in, but not limited to, proactively protecting and safeguarding the interests of its clients, the integrity of the markets and the Group's reputation. Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and Group's internal Compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Financial Security, Know Your Customer due diligence, International Financial Sanctions, Client Interest Protection, Market Integrity, Data Protection. Complete all necessary Compliance training to maintain appropriate business and compliance level of knowledge and understanding in order to be fully competent to undertake the role. Main responsibilities: OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee Client Remittance and Client Loans and Deposit teams, to adopt efficient processes; deliver good client service experience and client satisfaction and adhere to regulatory compliance procedures and policies. Review operational procedures, workflow, identify opportunities to innovate, control potential Operational Risk areas and improvements / changes to enhance productivity and efficiency. Continually develop and build teams to be adaptable and efficient in line with being client-focused, strengthening of risk-control awareness and delivering goals to meet operational objectives / strategy. Participate actively in the review, implementation and update of new products, legal, compliance and regulatory changes, review workflow, update procedures, communicate to staff and arrange relevant training for staff. Engage I.T. and relevant stakeholders to deliver operational improvement projects. Plan resources and participate in general I.T. projects and bank initiatives/ projects that would impact. Review preventive control measures for effectiveness in controlling/eliminating potential operational risk. Review operational incidents/complaints and escalate accordingly to Head of Regional Operations. Review monthly/quarterly statistics, analyze the activities and trends, and highlight anomalies and exceptions. Review outstanding and exception items, monitor and ensure relevant teams do follow-up to close case. Participate in documentation/drills and plan resources for exercises. Set objectives for staff, conduct performance appraisals, assess staff competencies and review job descriptions. Desired Candidate Profile: Must be an AVP / Manager in his current stint. Must have strong experience on Remittances, Swift Payments, Loans & Deposits & AML compliance. Must have managed Team Leads & Large Teams. Preferably from Investment banking or Captive Set up.
