Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities: Roles and Responsibilities 1. Lead procurement of Packaging materials - Paper , Metal and Polymer based materials & provide clear vision , direction and strategy in this category 2. Develop positive stakeholder relationship with internal customers to ensure category buy- in 3. Develop category strategy in all packaging sub- categories like flexibles, plastic rigid , metal and corrugated cases 4. Negotiation of packaging material contracts and good understanding of cost drivers in packaging materials 5. Lead material price set- up for all units in India (Own / 3P & 2P Units) and grant share of Business through quantifiable methods 6. Manage New Product Launches and new manufacturing location addition related to Packaging Materials 7. Lead vender management for packaging category across all Plants in India a. New vendor development b. Vendor performance management c. Vendor relationship management d. Capability enhancement 8. Tender management a. RFIs b. RFQs and c. e- sourcing 9. Inventory management a. Track and reduce inventory across all plants b. Identify ways to reduce RONA( Return on Net Assets ) c. VMI model ( Vendor Managed Inventory ) d. Zero material write off 10. Lead time reduction and measuring it through reduction in distance travelled for delivered 11. Cost reduction of materials at 3- 5 % Y- O- Y Basis 12. Lead SEI (supplier Enabled Innovations) in packaging materials 13. Mentor plant procurement team and lead them in material procurement
