Job Description

Function: Commercial Supervisor's Position: Finance Controller Purpose of role:- The role is responsible for commercial activities for the assigned geographical division. This includes interaction with the sales team to resolve their concerns in commercial areas and will be one point of contact for the sales team. The role also includes identifying improvement areas and ensure complainces to policies and SOPs. Education:-CA,MBA(Finance) Relevant Experience:- 2+ Years Knowledge:- l Strong knowledge of Finance & Accounting processes (preferably in manufacturing industry) l Knowledge of general accounting procedures l Knowledge of leading controls design, validation and remediation efforts l Commercial Acumen l Ms Excel l Ms Powerpoint l SAP is preferable Behavioural Skills:- l Strong Leadership & Communication skills l People Management l Negotiation Skills l Willingness to travel across geography (approx. 15 days a month) AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY l Understand existing policies and procedures (process maps) to ensure compliance for each geographical division. l Understanding pricing and discount schemes & confirming the structure in system. l Establish maker checker concepts across the shared services by validating the transactions for the respective geography l Establishing controls, checks and process improvements across the geography l Co-ordinating with the sales team on commercial matters and extending guidance and support on commercial issues l Communication, training and change management to ensure controls are embedded as a part of the daily work of the projects and user management. l Analytical support to the zones in the geography. l Drive cross functional initiatives which require influencing & interpersonal skills. l Compilation of collection plan & play an active role in follow-up for collections & interact with the distributros in cases of long overdues. l Act as a bridge between the business and shared services and lead towards closures and resolutions. l Lead in design / configuration and rolling out of new initiatives for bringing productivity and efficiency in the process.
