Job Description

Working with the lead to build out capabilities on the ground in to execute on programs planned for delivery in 2017.
Working with the Accounting Policy Group (APG) to understand the various policy changes and their interpretation.
Working with global Change colleagues / remote program leads and IT groups to transition the policy changes into discrete process, infrastructure and reporting changes.
Project and team management to delivery the agreed process and infrastructure changes required to effect the policy changes.
Day to day management of the work allocation and task assignment amongst the delivery team.
Status and RAID tracking in relation to the deliverables owned by the team.
Active mitigation and escalation of critical issues to program lead.
Groom and transfer knowledge to the lead and team members in terms of project management best practices, instilling a structured approach to solution design, scope framing and test execution.

7+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry.
Qualified Accountant with technical accounting background. (preferably within the banking domain)
Formal project management experience within the banking domain.
Proven track record in delivering major projects especially projects delivered in an investment bank or similar institution, including familiarity with SDLC.
Strong financial product knowledge with exposure to product mechanics, lifecycle events and accounting (US GAAP).
Strong stakeholder management experience.
Strong communication ability (verbal & written).
Ability to document information accurately and succinctly.
Ability to work independently and with colleagues in off-site locations.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and highly analytical and creative.
Excellent team player (displays enthusiasm, confidence & commitment).
Ability to train and mentor staff whilst managing the project deliverables.
Ability to work independently and with colleagues in off-site locations.
Excellent MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint skills.
