Job Description

Overall purpose of job-Masterline is the Bakery Fats brand under the Foods division and the specialised fats and margarines are used in Cakes, Pastry and other Bakery products like Biscuits, Puffs etc. Developing and implementing sales strategies for increase of market share and profitability on sustainable basis in line with Annual Business Plan (A B P) through B2 B channel Main activities/ tasks To direct the sales team and establish sales targets brand wise, help them in breaking the same geographically, monthly, weekly & daily targets. To motivate & direct sales team to establish coverage, distribution and display objectives to meet sales targets. To analyze stock movement/ availability Help business head in developing long term pricing strategy to maximize variable margin through product/ territory/ pack mix decisions. Regularly have commercial review for profitability and working capital including debtors. Have a clear focus on B2 B to build distribution and visibility. Work out a training calendar for all players in the sales organization and implement the same. Work towards reduction in cost with optimum quality of product development. S A L E S M A N A G E M E N T o Assess sales potential of region and formulate strategy. o Define sales plan to Asst. Sales Manager and Sales Officers. o Support and supervise sales team. o Monitor performances and meet volume targets. o Interact with Key Customers. o Achieve sales targets through coverage of Dealers, Institutions and Key Accounts. o Ensure meeting projected number of Institutions / Key Accounts base for the business through an ongoing search for viable business tie-ups. o Ensure collection norms are met. o Ensure accuracy in Sales Forecasting to make way for efficient planning at central procurement division. o Support sales team to negotiate with bakeries, confectioners, dealers, institutions and other customers. o Analyze and solve customer complaints on priority basis to achieve sale volumes and enhance customers satisfaction level. A N N U A L B U S I N E S S P L A N N I N G o Scan the external environment and present sales strategies. o Prepare and present budget for the year. B U D G E T C O N T R O L o Monitor and control variances. o Analyze all business reports to achieve sales budget and sustain operating profits. O T H E R S o Analyze competitor activities and formulate business strategies for the growth of existing and new business with the objective of achieving greater market share and profitability. o Share customer queries, complaints and suggestions with sales team and allocate queries and complaints to the concern sales person and ensure perfect follow up. Special requirements, external and internal contacts, travel, working conditions, etc Travel extensively to all sales areas to support and develop markets External contacts : Hotels, Bakery shops, Suppliers, Institutions, Food ingredient vendors Internal contacts : V P - Institutional Sales, Masterline sales team, Trichy plant, Indirect salesman, Human Resources Team, Finance Team, R & D Team Education, qualifications, special training, experience and skills Preferably a management graduate from a premier institute 15 plus years sales experience in B2 B business. Institutional Food related business will be a bonus Should have worked in at least two sales regions (North, South, East, West) Personality requirements and competencies 1.
