Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the banks risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure. Job Purpose a) To give effective credit support for meeting the business targets. b) To approve credit applications as per DOA judiciously. c) Ensuring that quality of Banks exposure in given area / region is acceptable at all time. d) Provide guidance to the team of relationship managers on areas of policy and processes. e) To manage supervise and provide guidance to the team of vendor agencies to make sure that quality of work done by vendors for bank is always upto the mark. Key Accountabilities: 1) To recommend / approve credit applications in line with approved policies / processes after highlighting / mitigating all significant risks. 2) To keep track of portfolio and delinquency levels and ensuring that requisite follow up is being done to ensure that overdues are regularised in a time bound manner and the portfolio quality is maintained. 3) To have a sound knowledge of the market in terms of risks associated with this product and prevalent market practices in the area of operation.. 4) To apply knowledge of RBI Regulations/ MAS Guidelines that govern credit dispensation. 5) To have a working knowledge of the general Legal framework in which the bank operates in India and apply the same. 6) To manage and supervise and provide guidance to the vendor agencies to make sure that the quality of work done by vendors for bank is always upto the mark. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Approve / Recommend Mortgage ( LAP) & Housing loan applications. 2. Portfolio monitoring / tracking & escalation of adverse new events in the portfolio of region / area. 3. Ensure meticulous compliance with Banks internal credit policy as well as regulatory guidelines. 4. Ensure compliance with the benchmark Turnaround Time. 5. Ensure proper guidance / support to the team of relationship managers. 6. To manage and supervise and provide guidance to the vendor agencies to get the desired and quality output. 7. To understand and implement the regional / area level legal and technical processes and make sure that the operational risks involved in documentation and procedures are adequately mitigated. Experience At least Seven years of experience in mortgages credit. Professional qualification (preferably CA) or post graduate degree preferably in business, accountancy, economics, finance etc. along with sound domain knowledge of the mortgages business and market.
