Job Description

Isolate issues using trace route, path ping, nslookup

Logon to remote server using terminal server (RDP / telnet / putty), for parameter / health checks.

Check logs and services (such as event logs, check services / deamon status)

Check utilization and availability

Perform start up and shut down services by following SOP

Deploy images on multiple servers using SOP

Connect to virtual console to check the status of snapshot, Events and tasks

Backup & Disaster Recovery

Monitor backup services whether they are running or not.

Identify drive utilization and differentiate whether the drive is internal or external

Escalate / follow next steps for resolution

understand FSMO roles Connect to directory services console to check OU and group status Check AD health status diagnostic tools

Check AV services, DAT version

Login to AV console, compare compliance and noncompliance report.
