Job Description

Experienced in Capital Procurement and Contract of in Heavy Engineering
Equipemnt Industries. .
Indirect Materials ,Foundry Material and rate negotiation for various packages,
Project purchase, components/Assemblies for Pressure Equipment, Hydraulic and Mechanical Presses/ Electrical .

Pre-Bid support to Sales and Tendering function.

Ensure timely delivery of material through forward planning, estimates of lead-time, market conditions and environment. Carry out all expediting activities for assigned Purchase Orders.

Negotiation of prices, vendor development for both existing as well as new products.

Finalizing of logistics for transportation of various equipment both inland and marine; releasing LOI/PO for in-land transportation and for sea/air freight.

Discussions & Finalization of inventory norms in consultation with Production shops, Material control deptt. based on type of product, distance of supplier etc.

Store function and to ensure optimal level of Inventory using Minimum level/Maximum level and Re-ordering level of various commodities

Coordinating with vendors regarding any contractual dispute or arbitration.

Materials Department in all respect including recruiting, training, portfolio development, procedural setups, facilities establishments like stores, SAP configurations etc. etc. Later elevated to become the Head Materials to take overall responsibility of leading the materials function which include Revenue/Project/Capital purchases as well as all sorts of Import/Export activities.

Contract Management: Preparation of contract documents.
Project Management : Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting, Estimation & costing, Monitoring & Co-ordination of the various power projects.
Project Control: Cost, budget and time control activities.
Project Review: Arranging periodical project review meetings between client, consultants and management.
Claim Management : Raising additional claims, if any, with customers w.r.t original contract.
Cash Management : Submission of invoices and collection of payments from client. Release of payments to vendors/subcontractors and preparation of cash flow (inflow and outflow) statements.
Commercial: Managing all commercial transactions with Client and vendors like invoices, delivery challans, submission and collection of bank guarantees, collection of C forms etc.
Marketing, Sales and Tendering: Market assessment and tracking all projects coming/ identified by different agencies for installation. Pre & Post tender discussions, negotiations with suppliers, collaborators, entering into agreements. Post Tender Follow-ups with Customers
Sales : Interaction with different Govt. agencies, Nodal agencies, Electricity Boards, Consultants, Customers & Private Developers.
Tendering: Preparation of Tenders (Offers). Estimation & Costing.

Project Management:
Fully skilled in Project Planning/Scheduling/Coordination & MIS Activities.
Well experienced in Activities/Resource Planning &Progress Tracking on MS Project software.

Industrial Engineering:
Fully skilled in various techniques of Work-Study, Manpower Planning, System Designing.
Expertise in Material Handling, Logistics & Facilities Planning.
