Should have excellent communication skills and Documentation skills. ITIL awareness preferred and willing to work in 16*7 rotational shift and on call support
Routing: related tasks included providing Cisco router configuration and change management, providing technical support for Cisco Router configurations and installation. Configuring static/floating routes, IP RIP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP. Configuring GRE, WAN QOS, Cisco IP SLA, and Policy based routing, redistribution.
Switching: related tasks included implementing VLANS, STP, Rapid-PVST, Inter-VLAN routing, HSRP, VTP, Trunking, Etherchannel, Virtual Port Channel (VPC), Cisco Nexus Switching (5K), Fabric Extender (2K), High-Availability, LAN QOS
VPN: Configuring & Troubleshooting Site-to-Site IPSEC VPN, Remote Access VPN, GRE over IPSEC VPN
Firewall: Installing, Configuring & troubleshooting Cisco ASA Firewall.
Perimeter Security: Working on Perimeter security tools and services is a plus. McafeeIPS, McafeeSIEM and Logger
Should have very good skills on creating technical documentation and preparing capacity/up time reports
Should have very good communication and articulation skills.
1- Develop detailed network specifications and adhere to standards in support of new project scope work.
2- Identify and recommend strategies for network growth, security, and enhancements by maximizing functionality of network equipment such as routers, bridges, gateways, switches, concentrators, and hubs.
3- Interface with approved vendors to place orders and ensure adequate delivery and of equipment and services.
4- Maintain a library of associated materials for all equipment, processes, and procedures supported by the company.
5- Perform network analysis and capacity planning.
6- Assist in the creation of processes and procedures for network operations. Set up and maintain network operation & provide assistance to level 2 network engineers escalate issues when appropriate.
7- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common hardware and/or software problems.
8- Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
9- Design, install, and test network topologies to support Internet and other data transport channels.
10- Design, install and troubleshoot IP based LANs/WANs and IP- based routing and bridging solutions.
11- Perform routine and emergency maintenance of all data center equipment.
12- Ensuring all network equipments are added in monitoring
13- Analyze and evaluate LAN/WAN changes, additions and reconfigurations.
14- Contribute to the development and administration of network backup plans to maintain LAN/WAN network systems operation.
15- Identify and correct faults and provide resolution of complex problem tickets escalated from level 2 network engineers.
