Responsible for consistent application of all standard project management methodology processes, tools, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Understands service offerings so that they can identify and articulate new business opportunities and provide sales support.
Drives all aspects of project management activity, including collaborating and coordinating across the organization and ensuring the following:
Changes that affect scope, schedule and resources are identified, managed and controlled with an integrated and cohesive plan.
Scope is defined, approved, managed, controlled; ensuring completed deliverables are accepted by the customer.
Schedule is developed and managed to on-time delivery.
Costs are estimated and managed to deliver project within customer approved budget, while preserving profit margins.
Resources are assigned and managed effectively and efficiently.
Risks and issues are proactively identified and managed.
High quality is planned and delivered on the project, meeting all agreed upon requirements and ensuring high customer satisfaction through the management of the overall customer experience.
Communications are planned and conducted during the project to ensure stakeholders are involved, expectations are accurately set, managed, and key stakeholders receive adequate communications throughout the project lifecycle and this includes customer and Dell stakeholders.
Purchases are planned and suppliers are managed efficiently and according to policy.
In addition to the accountabilities defined for the Project Manager role, the Program Manager:
Drives all aspects of program management activity, including collaborating and coordinating across the organization.
Manages resources (i.e., capital requirements and human capital, etc) to complete the program objectives on time, within scope, and on budget.
Drives program decisions to support Dell’s and/or the customer’s strategic direction and business objectives.
May be responsible for all or multiple aspects of the Project Management Office (PMO) functions which includes, but is not limite d to the following: project portfolio governance and project portfolio management, project resource management, and/or project quality management.
May be responsible for project and program management standards and processes and the PMO organization
May be responsible to plan, design, develop and manage a matrixed project management office team, including leveraged project management staff.
10-15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of project management/project coordination experience
• Proficient with TFS or related project tracking tool
Excellence in Agile project delivery
• Proven track record with ability to lead effective teams in complex and cross functional environments
• Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment, delivers on commitments
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present clear and concise information to team
• Ability to form plans and deliver results on-time according to a set schedule
• Ability to multi-task and manage several programs simultaneously
