Job Description

1. Contribution to planning
- Support mapping and checking of competency gaps and provide inputs to plan for enhancing the capability
- Provide inputs for resource planning (budget, people and infrastructure)
2. Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)
- Support the availability of clean and complete(100%) CAD data in PLM system (CAD shortfall report)
- Support proactive identification of BOM errors If any
- Work on DMLs for identification of issues in PLM system
- Follow up for new and pending DML(Design Modification List) releases
- Support and track Digital Demerit scores/issues (Digital VLO) list, which Includes No. of Wire and Tube issues, Mech Packaging issues, Thermal packaging issues, Drawing Flaws and no. of BOM errors.
- Prepare signoff sheets for issues identified in CAD are tracked till the physical vehicle assessment.
- Assess complete vehicle VLO and compare with digital Environment
- Study and support implementation of cost saving and quality improvement ideas
- Support Data & Process Management System, certification & other Legislations compliances
- Facilitate Quality Systems & Audits, competency development, IPR management
3. Nature of problems faced/ Scope of improvement opportunities
- Support development / improvement initiatives for methods, standards and processes
- Participate in various Knowledge management initiatives for enriching the design manuals / testing standards/ contribution to IPR's
- Scan the external environment through continuous benchmarking and trend mapping related to aggregate design and development
