Job Description

1.Functional expert on fixed income product who can be supervise team providing daily support and driving control efficiency for one or more business areas.
2.Adherence to global standards and procedures: Post trade activities, by interacting continuously with the global product heads & desks.
3.Adhere to local standards and procedures, by liaising closely with compliance, operations risk and following local regulatory constraints, especially in the branches
Review periodically (daily/weekly/monthly) exception reports thus ensuring that problems are identified and escalated as quickly as possible.
4. Liaising closely with the global team, Front Office & middle office to mitigate risk and improve client & business relationships.
5.Be conversant in Asset Services market/regulatory developments and targets to deliver appropriate RBS support model.

The Skills You will Need:-

1.8-12 years experience in general Investment banking environment with focus on Settlements Ops
2.A good knowledge of how an Operations area in the investment banking field works in a global environment
3.An understanding of the risks to be managed within Securities Services Operations in the investment banking environment. 4.This understanding will have likely been gained from performing one or more line roles and may include accounting and risk management skills or experience.
5.Broad experience of international banking environments and markets.
6.Proven track record of delivering results.
7.Excellent communicator at all levels with good presentation and negotiation skills.
8.Ability to create a culture that will facilitate productivity and ensure quality/ change management.
9.Experience in project management and process re-engineering.
10.Proven ability to operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment of growth and change.
11.Strong Knowledge of the mechanics of all relevant products and market terminology.
12.Credibility with senior business stakeholders. Strong control mindset.
13.Able to adapt to a rapidly changing working environment. Able to offer flexibility, whilst ensuring governance with local practice
14.Deep understanding of Operations processes.
15.Good networking skills and ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
16.Self-motivated and able to work independently and priorities own work.
17.Ability to question and challenge confidently.
18.Active listener able to understand all views and requirements. 19.Accurate and thorough approach
20.Qualifications -Bachelors Degree or Post Graduate
