89% of Middle-Management & Senior professionals say social profiles can influence careers: Snap Poll

New Delhi, November 28, 2013: As professionals embrace technology and turn to specialised job search portals & social media platforms to help them in their job search & careers, the digital world is steadily influencing career graphs.
Nearly 89% of professionals polled are of the view that their social profile is important for their career, according to a snap poll conducted by, India’s premier job search and career portal. Just over 49% of participants in the poll voted that profiles on social platforms – such as LinkedIn, Facebook or even a personal blog – are ‘Very important’ for one’s career.

About 40% of participants believe that their social profiles are ‘Somewhat important’ for career progression, but perhaps not a make or break factor. With just 11% of voters indicating that their social profile is ‘Not important’ for careers, the poll highlighted that only a small minority seem to believe their social profiles can be ignored.
